I realilsed that with D40 you have taken these amazing pics.. and it has inspired me. I have decided to get rid of my fancy body and get great lens instead.
Can you share with us what gear you use? .. I am more interested in lens.

You made my day! : ) I have the D40 body, as you know, and I have 3 lenses (all Nikkor): 35mm f/1.8 (I use this one the most), 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 (D40 kit lens), and 55-200mm f/4-5.6. I have a speed light SB400, but almost never use it. I have a tripod, but also almost never use it. That’s it – that’s all my gear; it’s pretty minimal. I have gone back and forth about upgrading my camera body over the last year, but decided a few months ago that it’s no longer high on my priority list, as I am still pleased with the images I get using my D40 and my current lenses. I peeked at your flickr page – love your shots of the Opera House! Thank you again for taking the time to comment! : )
